Empowering Local Youth to Grown Beyond Boundaries
At any given moment, there are an untold number of non-profit groups serving the people of Greenville County because of their lack of resources. Likewise, the needs of these groups go untold due to lack of resources as well.
When I first met David Taylor and the youth of Momentum Bike Clubs, I immediately felt the heart, vision, and results of building a successful mentoring program. I knew I had to be a part of getting their message out for expanding the program into more communities in the area.
Together, we built a vision for a fundraising video that showed how Momentum Bike Clubs leverages the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail to empower local youth and connect them with area mentors. We worked together over multiple locations and shoots to show the real story behind “Bike Clubs” – that it starts with kids riding the trail, and leads to enabling them to grow beyond anything they thought possible. This story – of a successful program reaching out to replicate in other communities – was our central focus.
We could have shortened the video and concentrated on facts and figures, but it is my belief that by focusing on story, we produced a stronger video with a much higher impact.
This is why I emphasize to my non-profit clients that we “tell the story” of impact in the lives of real people. People connect with people, and by reaching out in this manner we bring the most attention to your message and cause.
